2001 BMW 7-Series 740i (SWB)
E38 740i black on black, one-owner, clean title.
Factory M Sport Package: Shadowline trim, M Sport suspension, M Sport steering wheel, and 18” M Parallel Style wheels.
I’ve personally performed all of the repairs and maintenance myself. I’m not a certified mechanic, but I carefully follow BMW’s factory repair instructions and always use proper torque specifications.
I’ve addressed the common issues with the M62TU engine and completed extensive preventative maintenance. One of the most critical repairs for these BMW V8 engines is replacing the timing chain guides and VANOS seals, which I’ve already done along with many other items:
Major Maintenance and Repairs Performed:
Timing chain, guides, oil pump chain and all tensioners (main and upper)
VANOS solenoid gaskets and rebuilt VANOS units (professionally serviced through eBay)
Oil separator valve, crankcase breather pipe, crankcase vent valve.
Front timing cover seals, crankshaft seal and bolt.
Upper and lower oil pan gaskets
Water pump, thermostat, coolant valley pan with heat shield cover, rear coolant crossover gaskets
Both camshaft position sensors
Power steering reservoir and hoses
Engine and transmission mounts
Valve cover gaskets, intake manifold gaskets, throttle body gasket, spark plugs, fuel filter, air filter, and cabin filters
Front control arms, new front brake pads and rotors
Front window regulators (both sides)
Instrument cluster pixel repair (professionally serviced through eBay)
Condition:
No mechanical issues runs and drives exceptionally smooth.
